The Process

How It Works

Four steps from application to fishing in bluewater.

  1. 01

    Apply for Access

Submit your request access form with your offshore fishing background. The syndicate owners review all applications within 3 business days.

  2. 02

    Vetting & Approval

An owner might contact you with additional questions to verify your experience. Approval is based on boating and offshore competency.

  3. 03

    Secure Your Membership

Approved members complete the sign up and make $500 deposit to access member portal. Founding rate is locked in only for the first 50 approved members.

  4. 04

    Book & Fish

On the first day the first boat is available for bookings, your remaining $2,500 balance is charged automatically in a single payment, completing your founding membership. Booking access opens immediately — you can start scheduling trips right away. Bluewater Syndicate will notify all members about that date.

The Problem

Offshore Access Is Broken

Every serious offshore angler has already run this math. Buy the boat, book the charter, or wait out the winter — none of the three gets you what you actually want.

Ownership never stops billing

The purchase price is only the entry fee. Slip fees, insurance, winter storage, engine service, electronics, bottom paint, and tackle all come due every year — whether you fish or not. Then there is the day you actually want to go: fuel, rigging, prep, cleanup, and a full weekend gone before the lines ever hit the water.

On a charter, you are a passenger

You plan all season, fly somewhere tropical, and then hand over every decision that matters. Where you fish, how you fish, how long you stay out — none of it is yours. Someone else's tackle, someone else's plan, and a captain whose incentive is often saving fuel rather than finding fish.

The season is short. The year is not.

In the Northeast the canyon window is a few months long, and when it closes you are looking at another six months before you see blue water or hear a reel peel off the transom again. Meanwhile the costs — and the itch — keep running year-round.

One canyon trip out of CT, RI, MA, NJ, or NY costs about what a full year of Syndicate membership costs — and it buys you a single day.

We got tired of choosing between the three. So we built a fourth option.

The Founders

Built By Anglers, For Anglers

We are not a travel company that discovered fishing. We are two offshore fishermen who got tired of the compromise and built the program we wanted for ourselves.

Paul & Shenton Two anglers, one program — built exactly the way we wanted to fish.

Twenty years ago we met on the back deck of a work party, dragged there by our wives. Within minutes we were talking fishing, boats, and the dream of one day having a place in the Caribbean with a boat at the dock. That conversation kicked off a lifelong friendship and a shared idea of how we wanted to fish.

We fished hard together — first a single-engine 26′ Cobia, then our beloved 32′ Cape Horn center console KielBassSEA. Double overnighters 110 miles out in 3,000 feet of water with nothing but bean bags and boat fenders for creature comforts. Mako, swordfish, yellowfin, mahi, and the still-standing Connecticut state record albacore.

Then life happened. Careers, families, kids. We sold the boat, but the obsession never went anywhere — it just sat quietly in the background. Now the kids are older, the fire is back, and we built the offshore program we always wanted: easier, more accessible, more affordable, and fully on our terms.

Our Commitment To Members

  • Direct access to us. Not a support ticket, not an inbox — Paul and Shenton, directly.
  • Your experience is the priority. Not the operation, not the logistics, not our schedule.
  • Tackle stays current. You will never fish with worn-out equipment.
  • The fleet and the destinations grow as the membership grows.
